Firstly though, we would like to offer our
condolences and sympathy to all of the victims of the recent
and tragic bush fires that occurred in Victoria on the 7th
of February. The loss of life and property is unprecedented
and the general community are still reeling from shock.
In spite of this, we stand in awe of all those who put their
lives on the line to fight the fires and to those who have
so selflessly given their time, money and other resources
towards helping the survivors or accounting for those who
perished. The citizens and corporations of Australia
have opened their hearts and wallets to help out in any way
possible. And that can only make us proud in this time
of need.

Trust Revisited
In the wake of the public transport meltdown
in Melbourne I wanted to talk about trust.
While Connex assured us they were working to

Death by PowerPoint
The well-intentioned presenter steps to
the microphone and flips to the first
slide, well-crafted bullet points slide
on to the screen, followed by colourful
diagrams and visually complicated charts
that possibly contain great wisdom...
And the audience goes to sleep
(sometimes quite literally).
